The article discusses the obtaining and processing of the pressure volume diagram of a piston engine. Progress in this area is associated with the introduction of electronic pressure sensors and automation methods of processing the indicator diagrams, which allows to reduce time and increase the accuracy of results. The article presents the algorithm of the program, analyzing the pressure volume diagram. The described program can be used for technical diagnostics of reciprocating machines with the electronic pressure sensors and applications. The software allows to perform accurate analysis of real pressure volume diagrams. It is also possible to analyze the influence of all factors on the operation of the machine by conducting a virtual experiment.
