Kinds of initial billets in renovation technologies

The paper shows that renovation may be considered as a part of all industrial and manufacturing processes one of the objectives of which is to increase the objet resource or extend its lifecycle. It conditionally divides the renovation technologies into extension and resource renewal technologies of the object under renovation as well as into industrial and resource extension technologies at the stage of manufacturing a new product. It is stated that initial billets in renovation technologies can be not only billets damaged during operation phase. The initial billets also may be products of blank and metallurgical manufacturing, a diversity of tangible objects and materials damaged in manufacturing or lost their performances while in operation.
Special characteristics of training partially deaf students

This article presents printed and electronic teaching aids used for training partially deaf students in a machining laboratory; these educational guides combine theoretical knowledge, materials that help to develop certain skills and various forms of tests and self-assessment. A common approach to development of such training aids and their methodical features were presented. A fragment of such a teaching guide meant for out-of-school self-guided work of partially deaf students was also presented in this paper for illustrative purposes. This teaching guide would help to master missed materials without an instructor.
Special features of forecasting and providing quality parameters of products during reconstruction

This article presents an algorithm and a general structural logical model of a technological decision making process on reasonability of reconstruction along with a detailed structural logical model of providing quality of a product being reconstructed. Distinctive features of initial data of a reconstructed product from the data of a product made from scratch are listed. It is emphasized that the main distinctions are: knowledge of remaining life expectancy, data on the input control of the reconstructed product’s condition, heritable parameters and properties, history of loading and damaging and manufacturability of the damaged component. It is shown that formation of consumer properties of a reconstructed product is provided by a complex summing action of transformed external energies of each technological method and processing techniques which are component parts of the reconstruction process.
Determining the deformity of cutting waste during cutting a material with heterogenious properties

In this article the author presents analytical dependences for determination of geometrical parameters and orientation in the root of cutting waste of a rectangular dividing grid after two consecutive great inelastic deformations (surface plastic deformation and cutting). Images of deformed condition of a material, obtained during real processing by means of the micro-coordinate dividing grid method (square side of a grid cell is equal to 60 µ m), are also presented in the article. The author also compares estimated eformities and corresponding experimental data recorded in the area of chip formation for materials of different machinability groups. It was established that during cutting of materials with surface deformation, deformation values were redistributed across the thickness of cutting waste; relative smoothing of deformation degree across the section of a layer being cut also occurs.
General approach to the estimation of quality parameters of product when renovating

The authors propose a generalized structural diagram of technological renovation processes of machine elements, based on the characteristic of transformation vicissitude of entry shell properties. The authors show the ways to provide the quality of renewable products, basing on the analysis of interrelation between the structural diagram elements, considering technological inheritance of renewable product properties. The concept “the inheritance of life cycle” was introduced and described.
