Mäster Pers gränd, Stockholm
# 08, August 2009 The place got its name 1967. The alley is called Mäster Pers gränd after the first Vicar of Katarina parish Petrus Diderici Arenbechius (1620-1673) who was called Master Peter, or Mäster Per. The small houses are examples of the settlement that matched crevices and hollows along the slopes of Vita Bergen. The houses, except for the modernized house at Mäster Pers gränd, 2, are entirely out-of-date. They have electricity but lack water supply and sewers. Water is retrieved in a common well nearby at Bergsprängargränd. The houses at Mäster Pers gränd and Bergsprängargränd date back to the end of 1800s and during the first decades of 1900s. The houses at Bergsprangargrand were rebuilt in 1960s. Several of the houses at Mäster Pers gränd are either half-frayed or were partially destroyed by fire. Since 1998 the houses have been under reconstruction.
