Rational Orderliness of Study Course Modules
Engineering Education # 05, May 2014 DOI: 10.7463/0514.0710096 This paper considers the problem of appropriate orderliness of the electronic course modules. To solve this problem, we use the information that is specified by the structure of expert preferences or hypertext structure using a set of modules. For expert structure processing the theory of binary relations is applied. We propose a mathematical model to process the strongly linked fragments of expert structure. This model is based on a partition of a set of modules into tolerance classes. The task of searching an ordinal approximation of the hypertext structure is reduced to a problem of the least coverage matrix.
Estimate the Pareto-Approximation Quality in the Problem of Multi-Criteria Optimization. A Review of Programme Systems.
Engineering Education # 04, April 2014 DOI: 10.7463/0414.0709198 The paper makes a statement of the multi-criteria optimization problem, gives a brief review of techniques to solve it using its Pareto-approximation, and presents mainly known approximation quality indicators. Principally, the paper gives a review of known programme systems orientated to the Pareto-approximation problem solution, which implement various algorithms to estimate the quality of this approximation.
Formalization of implementing a release cycle of electronic periodicals
Engineering Education # 11, November 2013 DOI: 10.7463/1113.0658430 This article presents analysis of a typical process related to implementation of a release cycle of electronic periodicals in a publishing house of a higher educational establishment. A set of main components that represent various parts of the publisher’s organizing structure and affect the operating behavior was determined. A process of maintaining queries from users by editors, reviewers, and bibliographers was considered. As a result of the conducted investigations, it was shown that the law of inflow of publication queries in an electronic periodical was the simplest one. Parameters of that simplest inflow of users’ queries were also determined. A formalized scheme represented in the form of a closed-loop querying system was proposed for description of a typical process of the release cycle of electronic periodicals.
Integral estimation of multi-criterion alternatives in mental-structured approach to education
Engineering Education # 07, July 2012 DOI: 10.7463/0712.0423252 The authors consider the problem of integral estimation of multi-criterion alternatives; they propose a formal statement of the problem and methods of solving it. The method transforms the problem into global conditional multidimensional optimization. To solve that problem Mind Evolutionary Computation algorithm is used. Implementation of this method is described. The results of efficiency research are given.
77-30569/237424 Current trends in the market for educational services and intellectual labor: mental-structured approach to competency training of technical profile
Engineering Education # 10, October 2011 This article describes the special mentality and a structured approach to the preparation of technical specialists, based on the patterns of memory and thinking. It is shown that foreign word "competence" in some cases it is advisable to replace a wider methodological and meaningful sense the concept of "thought-literacy." To this end, proposes a methodology for assessment of key competencies (thinking of literacy), known as the "House of Quality."
Test quality monitoring of training quality and quality criteria of educational tests. The review
Engineering Education # 04, April 2011 DOI: 10.7463/0411.0184741 The paper presents the general questions connected with a test quality monitoring of quality of training, and also various ways of classification of tests and test tasks. We present the review of the basic criteria for estimation of tests reliability, validity, difficulty and so on. A number of the validity measures of tests is offered. These measures are based on the knowledge of a subject domain of studied discipline in the form of a semantic network.
Reduction of values of attributes of the existing information of the tabular kind to one type
Engineering Education # 01, January 2010 The short analysis of requirements to relational tables is made. Specificity of a problem of transformation of the existing information of a tabular kind to relational tables is considered. The method of the automated reduction of values of attributes of the filled not relational tables to uniform type is offered. Possibilities of existing tool design tools of databases for the decision of a problem of reduction of values of attributes of the existing information of a tabular kind to one type are considered.
Method of appointment of primary keys in the information of a tabular kind
Engineering Education # 12, December 2009 In article the problem of appointment of key fields in the filled relational tables is formulated. The algorithm of revealing and primary keys in existing relational tables is offered. The algorithm of appointment of primary keys in the filled relational tables is offered. Possibilities СУБД Access for the decision of a problem of revealing and appointment of key fields are considered.
