The article presents one of the topical tasks of the educational reform – preservation and promotion of students’ health under conditions of educational environment in a higher educational establishment. The article also covers problems concerning students’ deviant behavior. It presents a system approach in developing health-saving educational and pedagogical environment of the higher educational establishment. In accordance with the Federal law "About Education", the University administration is responsible for life and health of the students during the educational and training process. This should be a purposeful work to create a comprehensive system of implementing a health-saving technology. The main aim is to generalize the experience of Bauman University towards development of technologies and methods for saving health of students and staff who are involved in the educational environment.

The aim of psychological and pedagogical activities in the system of high education is the prevention of social and psychological malfunctioning, formation of psychosomatic disorders, depressive positions, drug addiction and suicidal behavior among students. The important direction of such activities is counseling, social and psychological diagnostics and correction of psychic state and personal qualities, working out recommendations concerning distribution and optimization of physical exercises taking into account individual psychological and physical state of students.
