Influence of a shaped blank on force power characteristics of manufacturing wrapped angular contact metal-fluoroplastic slider bearings

In this article the authors cover improvement of manufacturing metal-fluoroplastic bearings from a parent sheet. The distinct feature of this work is producing a liner with a flange from the parent sheet. The authors revealed a procedure of forming a bearing flange using finite element simulation. Zones of non-uniform deformation were found. These zones can reduce the product quality. It was proposed to change the shaped blank form in order to reduce the zones of non-uniform deformation and relieve the metal flow. Simulation of the deformation process with the use of the new shaped blank demonstrated decrease in energy-power characteristics of the process and increase in uniformity of the deformed condition. The results of the research will help to improve the quality of metal-fluoroplastic bearings used in aviation.

Modelling of technological processes of processing by pressure demands the task of a curve of hardening of a deformable material. In practice it receive by means of experiences on a stretching and on compression. And experiences on a stretching allow to obtain the data at small degrees of deformation since the sample collapses. At tests for compression because of more favorable scheme of a tension destruction comes at the big degrees of deformation. However the inevitable friction on contact surfaces leads to heterogeneity of deformation on volume of the sample, and, hence, to infringement одноосного a tension.
